Position Overview
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) acts as a strategic advisor and performance enabler, connecting financial insights with business decisions across sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations. The role is responsible for driving planning, forecasting, and profitability analysis while ensuring decisions are grounded in sound financial principles and aligned with NCH’s growth objectives.
Working closely with department heads and the Finance Director, the FBP provides forward-looking analysis, identifies opportunities to improve margins and cost efficiency, and ensures that budgets, forecasts, and KPIs accurately reflect operational realities. The position combines analytical rigour with commercial acumen, translating complex data into actionable insights that enhance business performance and accountability.
The FBP is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and partnership, promoting a culture of collaboration and practical problem-solving in line with NCH’s financial governance framework and corporate values.
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting process across revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and cash flow.

Develop driver-based financial models integrating volume, pricing, promotional investments, and cost of goods sold.

Challenge assumptions and validate departmental budgets to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Provide scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support management decision-making.
Business Performance and Analytics

Deliver monthly and quarterly performance packs highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

Conduct deep-dive variance analysis to explain deviations in sales, margins, and operating costs.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including profitability by SKU, A&P ROI, working capital days, and cash conversion cycle.

Identify margin leakage and recommend corrective actions on pricing, mix, and productivity.
Commercial Decision Support and Business Partnering

Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive performance and profitability.

Support commercial decisions related to pricing, promotions, customer contracts, and new product launches.

Participate in business case reviews, tender evaluations, and investment proposals to ensure commercial soundness.

Provide financial coaching and training to non-finance managers to build financial literacy and accountability.
Pricing, Costing and Governance

Develop and monitor pricing models and margin analysis to guide pricing strategies and adjustments.

Support costing reviews, overhead allocations, and standard cost maintenance within ERP systems.

Partner with supply chain to identify cost-saving opportunities through yield optimisation, freight efficiency, and process improvements.

Maintain financial governance by ensuring adherence to NCH’s costing, approval, and compliance policies.
Working Capital and Cash Flow Management

Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts integrating collections, payables, and inventory data.

Monitor and optimise working capital KPIs (DSO, DPO, inventory turns) to enhance liquidity and cash discipline.

Collaborate with finance operations to align cash forecasting with business cycles and sourcing plans.
Financial Reporting and Systems

Prepare management reports and presentations for the Executive Team and Board, ensuring accuracy, insight, and clarity.

Design and maintain dashboards (Power BI or similar) to visualise financial and operational drivers.

Ensure consistency of data across financial and management reporting, linking ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365) with analytics tools.

Contribute to system enhancements and data governance initiatives to improve reporting efficiency.
Continuous Improvement and Stakeholder Collaboration

Drive simplification, automation, and standardisation of financial processes across business units.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and accuracy in business performance metrics.

Support the Finance Director in strategic projects, policy reviews, and process optimisation.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is required.

Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, performance management, or business partnering roles.

Proven track record in FMCG, consumer goods, or distribution industries with strong exposure to commercial operations.

Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic decision support.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Experience in managing cross-functional planning processes and working with senior management teams.
Technical & Functional Skills

Strong capability in financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and business case evaluation.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and Power Query.

Expertise in developing driver-based forecasts, variance analysis, and scenario simulations.

Ability to interpret complex data and communicate financial implications clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Deep understanding of management reporting, cost allocation, margin analysis, and working capital optimisation.

Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial compliance frameworks.
