Finance & Insurance Manager

Summary: The Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for overseeing the financing and insurance processes for vehicle sales at the dealership. This role involves working closely with customers to secure financing, offering extended warranties, insurance products, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The F&I Manager plays a critical role in achieving dealership profitability while delivering exceptional customer service. This role reports to the General Manager and works in tandem with the Sales Manager to cover all aspects of the Sales and Finance departments.

Essential Duties:

  • Assists customers in securing financing for their vehicle purchases/lease deals by presenting financing terms and options. Builds trust with customers by thoroughly explaining financial agreements, interest rates, loan terms, and related details/documents.
  • Explains and sells F&I products, including extended warranties, service contracts, GAP insurance and other protection plans. Coordinates cancelation of extended contracts, GAP insurance, or customer requested cancellations. Collects finance and insurance fees from customers.
  • Completes and ensures financing paperwork, title applications, taxes are correct. Maintains adequate supply of required finance contracts/paperwork.
  • Researches and assists customers in completing/processing rebate
  • Builds working relationships and negotiates with lenders to secure competitive rates and financing terms.
  • Processes all federal, state and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
  • Maximizes dealership profit through sales of F&I products and additional services.
  • Monitors department metrics, penetration rates, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures all contracts and related documents comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains thorough and accurate records/files of all financial transactions and agreements.
  • Stays educated on relevant laws pertaining to dealership finance.
  • Works with the sales team to seamlessly integrate F&I processes into the overall sales workflow. Provides F&I product training to sales team.

Supervisor/Managerial Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Attends and contributes to Level 9 and Level 10 Meetings.
  • Assists Sales Manager in hiring, orienting, and training sales employees in departmental and organizational procedures.
  • With the assistance of the General Manager, apply corrective action/discipline to sales employees.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive F&I management or a similar role, with strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills. Proficiency in F&I software is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills and should have strong analytical skills, proficiency in math, the ability to calculate discounts, and other financial figures with accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
