Position Summary

The Finance Manager runs the day-to-day financial operations that keep the organization stable and audit-ready. This role owns core accounting processes, supports budgeting and forecasting, tracks KPIs, and helps strengthen cash flow and internal controls. The Finance Manager partners closely with the CEO and operational leaders to turn financial data into clear decisions.

Essential Functions

Accounting and Close

  • Manage accurate and timely financial reporting and monthend close.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Support compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
  • Coordinate with external partners as needed (bookkeeper, CPA firm, payroll vendor).

Budgeting and Financial Reporting

  • Support the annual budgeting process and monthly budgettoactual reporting.
  • Build and maintain KPI tracking and basic dashboards for leadership.
  • Prepare financial summaries that highlight trends, risks, and action items.

Cash Flow and Controls

  • Monitor cash flow and working capital needs.
  • Support internal controls, purchasing controls, and expense management.
  • Assist with risk management documentation and financerelated policies.

Revenue Cycle and Billing Support

  • Support billing, insurance reimbursements, and collections workflows.
  • Track revenue cycle performance metrics and flag issues early.
  • Partner with operations to improve documentation, coding accuracy, and process flow.

Compliance Support

  • Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and licensing requirements as they relate to finance operations.
  • Maintain uptodate finance policies and support staff training as assigned.
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance point of contact for routine questions from internal teams.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience preferred; healthcare or behavioral health experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare billing, insurance reimbursements, and revenue cycle concepts.
  • Experience in a small to midsized, fastgrowing organization preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail and strong followthrough.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency with accounting tools and enterprise software (e.g., QuickBooks, Acumatica, Paychex).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).
