Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance across various sectors including corporate, non-profit, and governmental accounting. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts such as IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606, and risk management. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and strategic financial decision-making to support organizational growth and sustainability.
Duties
- Lead the preparation and interpretation of complex financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Oversee accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and financial planning to support organizational objectives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and compliance management across all financial operations.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
- Supervise treasury management activities including cash flow analysis and investment management.
- Oversee cost accounting, cost control initiatives, and revenue management aligned with ASC 606 standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IAS, IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards to ensure compliance in all financial practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams on business development initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
- Lead the implementation of financial software systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
- Provide leadership in public accounting activities when necessary and support external audits.
- Write detailed financial reports and interpret complex data to inform executive decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate finance with a strong background in IAS, IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards.
- Extensive knowledge of business development strategies and risk analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, regulatory reporting, and fiscal management.
- Proficiency in financial software applications along with strong skills in balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports accurately.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams within a finance department.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and collaborating across departments.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous. Pay: $80,416.06 - $96,372.03 per year
