Finance Manager

NBK Wealth is recruiting for a Finance Manager – Regulatory Reporting for its Finance team in Kuwait.


Job Summary:

Provides financial, administrative and managerial support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by posting and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • A thorough understanding of internal controls requirements to mitigate risk and implementation of such controls based on organizational need and monitoring of such controls on a periodic basis.
  • A thorough understanding of consolidation Accounts, which includes line-by-line Consolidation and Associate Accounting.
  • Very good operational knowledge of Valuation of Investments in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing of books of accounts.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely reporting to all regulatory authorities, including but not limited to the CMA, CBK, DFSA, MOF etc.
  • Preparation of financial statements on a quarterly basis and liaising with the auditors for external audit purposes.
  • Assisting in case of Internal Audit, CMA inspections and other periodic audits including ICR.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, certifications (CPA/CA/CIMA/ACCA, etc.) are a plus.
  • 7-9 years of supervisory experience in the Finance department, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Accounting Knowledge (IFRS).
  • Strong knowledge of Financial/Management Accounting.
  • Good knowledge in developing and maintaining effective financial controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Fluent English. Arabic is a plus.
