We are looking for a hands-on finance professional to take complete ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, banking, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys running finance operations independently, ensuring compliance accuracy, and supporting business decision-making with reliable financial data.
You will work closely with internal teams, auditors, and external partners while managing accounting systems, regulatory filings, reconciliations, and reporting across the organization.
What You’ll Own
Core Accounting Operations
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting using Tally and Zoho Books.
Record and review all accounting transactions including receipts, payments, journals, adjustments, and provisions.
Ensure accurate classification of income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and accruals.
Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation as per applicable standards.
Banking, Payments & Cash Management
Execute vendor payments, statutory payments, and employee reimbursements.
Plan and manage weekly and monthly payment schedules.
Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash positions.
Coordinate with banks for operational finance requirements.
Statutory, Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual filings).
Compute and file quarterly TDS returns and manage related challans.
Handle PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax compliances including monthly filings.
Act as the primary point of contact for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
Import–Export & Trade Accounting
Manage accounting and documentation for import and export transactions.
Review Bills of Entry, shipping bills, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy.
Coordinate with CHAs and logistics partners to ensure compliance and timely clearance.
Maintain organized trade documentation for audit and regulatory review.
Reconciliations & Month-End Close
Perform vendor, customer, and inter-ledger reconciliations.
Follow up on open balances and resolve discrepancies proactively.
Support month-end closing including accruals, provisions, and ageing analysis.
Ensure books are audit-ready at all times.
Reporting & Business Support
Prepare MIS reports, cash flow summaries, and financial snapshots for management.
Support budgeting, cash planning, and basic financial analysis.
Provide finance support and documentation to internal departments as required.
What Will Help You Succeed
Experience & Knowledge
Strong hands-on experience in Indian accounting and compliance.
Deep understanding of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax.
Prior exposure to import/export accounting and coordination with CHAs.
Experience handling audits and working with external consultants.
Technical Skills
Advanced working knowledge of Tally ERP and Zoho Books.
Strong capability in reconciliations, month-end close, and financial controls.
Comfortable managing accounting operations independently with minimal supervision.
