Role Overview
The Financial Specialist supports financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the organization. The role requires strong financial reporting capability, advanced Excel proficiency, and hands-on experience with SAP accounting modules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, demonstrates a high level of integrity and accountability, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can translate financial information into clear insights that support decision-making. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred but not required. The role also requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality financial data is delivered to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Build, maintain, and improve financial models for budgeting, planning, and scenario analysis.
- Extract, validate, and reconcile financial data from SAP and other systems.
- Collaborate with accounting, operations, and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and ensure timely, accurate data delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support month end and year end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance automation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
- Perform all duties with a strong sense of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with SAP (FI/CO or related modules).
- Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting cycles.
- Ability to work with large datasets and reconcile complex financial information.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and ownership in delivering high-quality financial work.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to support internal and external financial data needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the medical device industry (preferred, not required).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.
