The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic banking team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making within our esteemed bank. Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards and banking regulations. - Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. - Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory reporting requirements, and internal financial controls. - Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors during financial audits. - Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization. - Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. - Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting - Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably within the banking or financial services sector. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, banking regulations, and financial reporting standards. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. - Commitment to integrity and maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
