Our client Shamrock Accounting, Tax and Payroll is looking for a Financial Accountant - Tax & Financial Reporting Specialist in Gujranwala

The Financial Accountant at Shamrock Accounting, Tax and Payroll in Grw based office ( Onsite) who contributes to the maintenance, accuracy, and integrity of the company's financial data while providing accounting and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of UK and Irish clients. The role involves preparing monthly and annual management accounts, overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, performing detailed reconciliations, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work directly with UK and Irish businesses and must possess strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, verifying and processing invoices and payments accurately.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Accounts for UK and Irish clients.
  • Utilize accounting and financial reporting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle Financials, and other relevant systems.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and support tax compliance requirements for UK and Irish clients.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and filing of all relevant taxes, including VAT, Income Tax, Corporation Tax, and Withholding Tax, where applicable.
  • Utilize tax and accounting software to prepare tax filings and assist with tax audits and compliance reviews.
  • Liaise directly with UK and Irish clients regarding accounting, taxation, payroll, and financial reporting matters.
  • Collaborate with Country Manager by providing required documentation and responding promptly to audit and compliance queries.
  • Draft, review, and send professional business emails and correspondence to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Communicate financial information clearly and professionally through both written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company financial information and adhere to internal controls and company policies.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial regulations relevant to UK and Irish jurisdictions.
  • Support the accounting team with ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as required by management.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to managing deadlines and client expectations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance accounting, taxation, and financial reporting expertise.

Qualification

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICMA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent (Part Qualified/Inter level candidates) will have an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of accounting and taxation experience.
  • Experience dealing with UK and/or Irish clients is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT, payroll, and taxation principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Oracle Financials, or similar systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports, emails, and client correspondence independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Salary: PKR 60,000 – PKR 100,000 per month Plus Pension and Medical benefits (depending on experience, qualifications, and skill set).
