Job Description:

The Financial Analyst is an important contributor to the Accounting and Finance team, supporting two business units of the VasoTechnology division. The main duties for this position are Accounts Receivable activities to include collections, assist with month-end close duties, deep analysis of the general ledger accounts, assisting with audit requests and ad hoc requests.

Responsibility:

  • Lead the AR/Collection process, ensuring timely collection of receivables
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce overdue accounts
  • Monitor AR reports, distribute weekly, analyze for accounts that need to be put on support hold and need to have a monthly reminder letter sent as part of collection process
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment status
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Maintain excel reports ensuring accuracy
  • Support the budget and forecasting process
  • Assist with external audit requests
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation and support for audit requests quarterly and annually
  • Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial data
  • Ad Hoc requests

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a financial analyst role
  • Accounts receivable/collection calling experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced to proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be able to multi task and work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
