Financial Analyst

A great UHY client is seeking a Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.

The Financial Analyst position is a hybrid position - 3 days onsite per week. This is a client direct hire position.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend evaluation, and modeling.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on key performance metrics.
• Prepare and analyze periodic financial reports.
• Summarize financial results and key drivers for leadership.
• Develop presentations and dashboards to communicate financial performance and trends.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support planning and operational initiatives.
• Evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects and business initiatives.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks and opportunities.
• Monitor performance against budget and forecast targets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with department leaders to refine forecasts and explain variances.
• Project future performance using historical data and key business drivers.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, and operational metrics to identify trends and risks.
• Support special financial analyses and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Conduct research and modeling to assist with decision-making.

Financial Analyst Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or similar roles.
• Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and core accounting concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
