About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, analytical, and responsible Junior Finance Analyst to join our team full-time at Verde in Business Bay, Dubai.
This role is suited for candidates with practical accounting and finance experience, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting. We are looking for someone who can independently manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities with accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.
This is not an entry-level role for fresh graduates without practical experience. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience and demonstrate hands-on exposure to accounting operations, reporting, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, bookkeeping, and accounting documentation.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, reconciliations, and payment tracking.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and ledger maintenance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for management review.
- Monitor operational expenses and maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems.
- Support VAT documentation, reconciliations, and compliance requirements in line with UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding invoices, payments, and financial documentation.
- Assist with payroll support, financial forecasting inputs, budgeting coordination, and cash flow monitoring where required.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with internal financial controls and company procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of proven work experience in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required.
- Professional certifications are strongly preferred (such as bookkeeping, accounting, finance, Excel, VAT, or recognized finance/accounting certifications).
- Candidates with ongoing or completed certifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CFA (foundation/intermediate level), IFRS certifications, VAT certification, or bookkeeping/accounting certifications will be prioritized.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and financial controls.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, reporting, reconciliations, and financial tracking).
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems is required.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle financial data responsibly.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism, accountability, and confidentiality are essential.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations, invoicing systems, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience supporting multiple entities, cost tracking, budgeting, or operational finance functions is advantageous.
