What will you be doing?
Circana is evolving the Commercial Finance function to develop future finance leaders who will provide thoughtful analysis, insights, and decision support to Commercial sales leaders. Commercial Finance is responsible for streamlining processes, leveraging new systems, and adding more value for the Commercial partners who drive the business. The Financial Analyst in Commercial Finance will play a key role in helping shape Circana’s Finance function and will drive improved business results through detailed forecasts, insightful analysis, and thoughtful process improvement recommendations. This role will be the key business partner supporting Global Lines of Business, primarily comprised of global manufacturers. The Financial Analyst will support the revenue pipeline reviews, monthly and quarterly P&L reviews, KPI development, and performance analysis on both revenues and expenses. Additionally, the role will work collaboratively with Solution partners, Client Insights teams, and other Commercial Finance teammates.
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting global financial results, forecasting and budgeting, consolidation, and analytics.
- Drive insights into business performance to support enhanced decision-making.
- Prepare reporting packages, analyses, and narratives to business partners and senior management with emphasis on identifying variance drivers and recommending actions.
- Maximize use of financial systems to drive growth (revenue pipeline review and forecast, recurring revenue streaming, and booking accuracy).
- Drive budgeting and forecasting support (enable accurate visibility of how we are performing).
- Understand expenses and variances to plan for expense management.
- Assist practice leaders and their teams with forecast, revenue, billing, and contract inquiries as needed.
- Become the subject matter expert on key financial and commercial tools/systems, including Power BI reporting, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday Adaptive Planning, among others.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve long-term strategic objectives.
Support cross-functional finance business partners in identifying, explaining, and/or resolving unusual fluctuations in consolidated financial reports.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations, Accounting, or Consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with financial reporting systems.
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools.
- Strong financial modeling skills and ability to present outputs in a stakeholder-friendly format.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively solving business problems.
- A self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Familiarity with Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM platforms.
- Background in the Tech/Software industry, especially with recurring revenue models.

Location: Remote, US (Eastern or Central time zones preferred)
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000.
