Minimum qualifications:

4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Experience developing frameworks for financial storytelling to executive audiences.

The YouTube Finance team is part of the broader Strategy, Analytics, and Finance team (SAF) whose mission is to make YouTube commercially sustainable and more valuable, by identifying and steering the business towards the biggest opportunities, guiding the organization to make the best possible decisions, and enabling effective implementation with proactive and trusted risk management.
The YouTube Profit and Loss Planning and Reporting team is responsible for profit and loss management for YouTube, including business growth, forecasting, and analytics. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the oversight of YouTube's financial reporting at the highest level, including exposure to YouTube’s financial and business performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Own monthly forecasting, budget tracking, annual planning, and long-range planning for YouTube’s headcount and payroll spend; deliver internal reporting that clearly communicates headcount and payroll trajectories

Partner with people operations and product operations to validate headcount modeling assumptions and build an efficient, cross-functional forecasting process.

Synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives for leadership presentations.

Support tracking and diligence of cost allocations to YouTube’s financial statements by maintaining a monthly reporting cadence and performing periodic analyses of specific areas.

Identify and implement process optimizations for reporting and insights by developing expertise in the Google-wide headcount, payroll, and allocations tool ecosystem, integrating advanced tool capabilities into YouTube’s processes.
