Job Title: Financial Associate

Position Summary

The Financial Associate plays a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, analysis, and reporting. This position assists with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, data analysis, and preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and eager to grow within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection and model maintenance.

General Accounting & Reconciliation

  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Process journal entries, ensure proper coding, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable functions as needed.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Help ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP/IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide documentation and analysis for internal and external audits.

Data & Systems Management

  • Maintain and update financial databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems.
  • Automate routine reporting tasks to improve efficiency.

Special Projects

  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, or due diligence projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops included).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance team members.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Pursuing or interest in CPA, CFA, or MBA.
  • Experience with ERP systems or SQL.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling or valuation basics.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: QAR120,000.00 - QAR185,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
