Primary Responsibility: Supporting and enhancing our data, reporting, and analytics platforms as part of the Finance team. This role is critical in enabling performance improvement and operational effectiveness across departments by enhancing system functionality, maintaining system integrity, and driving configuration and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude, platform experience, and strong communication skills to bridge business needs with system capabilities.
What You'll Do:
Partner with Finance leadership and frontline business teams to identify and prioritize critical needs, and financial improvement opportunities.
Collect, validate, and maintain financial and relevant operational data from multiple sources including Salesforce, Syspro ERP, in-house applications, Excel files, and SQL databases.
Create one-off analysis and ad-hoc reports to support operational decision-making, customer needs, audits, and leadership requests.
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data models, relationships, measures, and refresh schedules.
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract and transform data for reporting, analysis, and process monitoring.
Develop Excel-based tools and templates (Power Query, PivotTables, formulas/macros as needed) to support operational workflows.
Define and document key metrics and business rules to ensure consistent KPI reporting across the organization.
Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to map current-state processes and design future-state improvements.
Monitor system usage and data flow across platforms; troubleshoot reporting and data issues and coordinate resolution.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership in clear, concise formats (dashboards, executive summaries, monthly reporting packages, etc.).
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
What Qualifies You:
Experience in a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Data Analyst role with financial, managerial and cost accounting proficiency.
Hands-on experience with SQL and Power BI in a professional environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Syspro, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) and how they integrate with other business systems.
Ability to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively across departments, and document analytical work clearly.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field OR and equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication and an ability to translate analytical details into impactful recommendations.
Self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Experience in a cross-border manufacturing and engineering environment.
