Essential Job Functions:
- Manage consumers’ budgets. This includes assuring that basic needs are met (food and shelter) through timely payment of bills. Establish a budget for each individual that meets his/her needs. Ensure payment to creditors based on the individual’s ability to pay.
- Manage the computer program to ensure a daily balance of the Representative Payee Account.
- Manage consumer files with current and accurate information in regards to rent verifications, release of information, and other debits.
- Provide Social Security with annual (as requested) reporting of consumers’ accounts.
- Provide effective communication to consumers, case managers and other service providers.
- Process, collate and mail out consumer notices, checks, bus passes.
- Contact Social Security and State for medical cards, maintain copies and distribute to consumers
- Contact utility/telephone companies for service hookup and billing questions.
- Coordinate with landlords consumer moves, leases, and follow up with rent verification forms.
- Follow up on checks that have not cleared.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Assist in agency mailings as needed.
Perform all other job duties assigned.
