Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Controller located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

Oversee the preparation, review, and timely delivery of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budgets.

Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial plans with organizational objectives and long-term strategy.

Manage all treasury, banking, and financing arrangements to ensure liquidity, optimize cash flow, and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions.

Analyze financial performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Establish and maintain systems and processes to ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Taxation Management:

Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international tax laws and regulations applicable to the organization.

Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax codes.

Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize the organization’s tax liability.

Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies to resolve tax-related issues and ensure alignment with evolving tax laws.

Conduct regular reviews of tax processes to identify risks and implement improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with operational and departmental teams to understand their financial needs, offering support in budgeting, cost control, and procurement decisions.

Collaborate with IT to implement, upgrade, and optimize financial management and procurement systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Risk Management and Compliance:

Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure operational continuity.

Ensure full compliance with all applicable financial, sales, and procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Lead regular internal audits and reviews of financial processes, proactively addressing inefficiencies and ensuring accountability.

Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework, aligning with corporate governance and industry standards.
Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).

Master’s degree or professional certifications are preferred but not required.
Experience:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role.

Proven track record of leading financial planning and risk management
