Financial Controller

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, corporate accounting practices, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with SOX regulations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review, highlighting key insights through financial analysis.
• Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with public accounting standards.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
• Provide training and support to accounting staff on best practices in double entry bookkeeping and corporate accounting principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role within corporate accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including balance sheet reconciliation, and payroll processing
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $82,830.00 - $107,261.00 per year
