About Natural Pilates

Natural Pilates is a boutique Pilates studio business with nine locations across Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Sherman Oaks, West Hollywood, Manhattan Beach) and New York City (Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Soho, Flatiron), plus a digital streaming platform, NPTV. We are in a high-growth phase and looking for a Controller to anchor the accounting function across our multi-entity, multi-state portfolio.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day accounting and financial operations across the company. This person will manage bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory reporting — partnering closely with operations and HR leadership to keep our financial house in order as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping — Maintain accurate books across all studio locations and entities; own the general ledger, monthly close, and reconciliations.
• Payroll & HR Support — Run payroll across multiple states and conduct routine payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Accounts Payable / Bill Management — Manage the full AP cycle, including bill intake, approvals, payments, and vendor records.
• Depreciation Schedules — Build and maintain depreciation schedules for all capitalized assets across the portfolio.
• Fixed Asset Management — Track fixed assets from acquisition through disposal; maintain the fixed asset register and tie it to the GL.
• Inventory Management & Reporting — Manage retail inventory across studios and produce reporting from Shopify and Walla.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-location environment.
• Hands-on payroll experience, with comfort running and auditing payroll (multi-state a plus).
• Working knowledge of depreciation schedules, fixed asset accounting, and inventory accounting.
• Familiarity with Shopify and/or Walla (or comparable POS/studio management systems) strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to manage competing priorities across locations.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, HR, and ownership.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
