About Our Client

Our client is a prominent retail group with a diverse portfolio spanning fashion, lifestyle, and consumer goods. Known for their customer-centric approach and aggressive expansion strategy, they are seeking a Finance Director to strengthen financial governance, support strategic decision-making, and enable profitable growth across their operations in the region.

Experience and Competencies Requirements:

1. Minimum 12 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in the retail or consumer goods sectors.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required; a CPA, ACA, CFA, or MBA is strongly preferred.
3. Proven track record in leading financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management in large retail networks.
4. Expertise in cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial modeling.
5. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar), financial analytics tools, and business intelligence platforms.
6. Experience in retail pricing strategies, supply chain finance, and inventory cost management.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to Boards and executive committees.

Functional Description:

1. Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans.
2. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all retail divisions and regions.
3. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
4. Partner with business units to drive margin improvement, pricing strategies, and cost optimization.
5. Manage treasury, cash flow, and capital structure to support operational and expansion needs.
6. Implement advanced analytics and reporting systems to enhance decision-making and business performance tracking.
7. Advise the CEO and executive leadership team on investment strategies, M&A opportunities, and risk management.
8. Build, mentor, and lead finance teams to support a culture of accountability, agility, and business partnership.
