Financial Modeler

Merhyd is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Modeler to join our finance team in Mesaieed. This role is essential in developing robust financial models that support investment decisions, business planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with advanced modeling and data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, build, and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and valuation
• Analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights for management decision-making
• Support long-term strategic planning through scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Evaluate project feasibility, investment returns, and cost structures
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to gather required data inputs
• Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders
• Continuously improve and automate financial modeling processes
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all financial assumptions and outputs
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and business cases as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Proven experience in financial modeling, financial analysis, or corporate finance roles
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and investment analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, formulas, macros preferred)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and concisely

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in industrial, energy, or engineering sectors
• Familiarity with Power BI, financial planning tools, or ERP systems
• Professional certification (CFA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
• Experience working with large datasets and scenario-based modeling
