Role Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Modelling Analyst with strong analytical skills and proven experience in PPP (Public-Private Partnerships). The successful candidate will be responsible for building, auditing, and optimizing complex financial models to support investment decisions, project evaluations, and long-term strategic planning, particularly within PPP and infrastructure projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Financial Modelling & Analysis:
- Build, structure, and maintain advanced financial models for project finance, infrastructure investment, corporate finance, and PPP opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial forecasting, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and risk modeling.
- Convert technical, commercial, and legal project assumptions into dynamic financial models.
- Conduct valuation analysis (NPV, IRR, payback, profitability metrics) to support investment cases.
PPP (Public-Private Partnerships) Focus:
- Develop and review PPP financial models, including Public Sector Comparator (PSC), VfM analysis, and concession-based structures.
- Support feasibility studies, PPP bidding processes, and the preparation of financial sections of proposals and tender documents.
- Assess project bankability, revenue structures, and lifecycle costs for PPP projects.
- Collaborate with government agencies, advisors, and private investors to align financial assumptions with PPP frameworks.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare model documentation, audit trails, input books, and key assumption summaries.
- Translate model outputs into clear insights, dashboards, and decision-support reports.
- Present findings to senior management, investors, lenders, and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work cross-functionally with technical, legal, and commercial teams to gather inputs for financial models.
- Participate in meetings with project sponsors, public-sector entities, and financing institutions.
- Support due diligence processes by validating financial assumptions and identifying key risks.
· JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–6+ years of professional experience in financial modelling, project finance, infrastructure advisory, or investment analysis.
- Direct PPP (Public-Private Partnerships) experience is required.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including VBA or advanced modelling functions.
- Demonstrated ability to design and audit complex, multi-sheet financial models.
- Solid understanding of project finance principles, cash-flow mechanics, and risk allocation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with financial modelling tools (e.g., @Risk, Power BI, Python-based modelling tools).
- Professional certifications such as FMVA, CFA, or CP3P are an advantage.
