PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are looking for a Financial Operations Specialist to join Salla's Controllership Department, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This role focuses on managing cross-department financial operations, ensuring smooth coordination between controllership,

operations, and other business units, and resolving manual or exceptional financial cases efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Handle e-payment transfers ensuring accuracy, proper authorization and timely processing
  • Manage financial shipping operations that require manual action including weight corrections and COD settlements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Jira requests directed to the Controllership Department reviewing, assigning and following up until full resolution
  • Monitor and follow up on merchants' activations with the responsible team to ensure timely and accurate execution
  • Coordinate interdepartmental financial operations ensuring proper alignment between controllership, operations and product teams
  • Support in reconciling and validating financial data related to merchants, shipping and payment activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing financial and operational activities under the role

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or financial operations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, and data validation
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities with great attention to detail
  • Good command of English both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on-site full-time at the Makkah office

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Jira or other ticketing/issue-tracking systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite or similar)
  • Exposure to e-commerce or SaaS financial operations is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
