Position Summary
The Manager of Financial Reporting leads statutory, regulatory, and internal financial reporting for multiple insurance entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls. The role oversees the close process, supports audits and regulatory filings, and drives improvements in efficiency and scalability through effective use of technology and team leadership.
Expectations
· Lead the preparation and review of statutory, internal, and consolidated financial statements for multiple companies, including investment accounting.
· Review and approve general ledger activity, reconciliations, and close results to ensure accuracy and strong internal controls.
· Oversee monthly and year‑end close processes, including close calendars, timelines, and supporting schedules.
· Coordinate regulatory filings and premium tax filings, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
· Serve as a primary contact for internal and external auditors, providing accurate and well‑organized support.
· Continuously evaluate financial reporting processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability through standardization, automation, and effective use of systems.
· Partner with IT and cross‑functional teams to enhance reporting tools, data integrity, and control environment.
· Ensure financial reporting processes are well documented and supported by appropriate controls.
· Lead, develop, and mentor the financial reporting team, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Support special projects and initiatives related to reporting, systems, or regulatory changes as needed.

· Strong accounting expertise, including statutory accounting for insurance companies.
· Ability to lead and improve financial reporting and close processes in a regulated environment.
· Skill in leveraging systems and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
· Solid understanding of internal controls, audit, and regulatory requirements.
· Effective people leadership and collaboration skills.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requisites
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 10 years work experience
· Experience with Statutory Accounting Principles preferred
· Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict timeliness.
