Roles & Responsibilities


The Financial Technical role’s primary objective is to deliver high-quality, cost-effective technical support for IT Financial services, ensuring robust and efficient financial reporting solutions for the bank.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide technical support for BAU operations related to financial systems.

Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure high availability and performance of financial applications (e.g., Tagetik).

Develop and optimize SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis.

Conduct financial data reconciliation and ensure data integrity across systems.

Perform cost/benefit and other analytical evaluations using SQL-based reporting.

Configure and maintain workflows for financial processes.

Support system integration testing, regression testing, and UAT (issue analysis and resolution).

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize database and application performance.

Assist in ETL development and data transformation for reporting systems.

Ensure effective client engagement and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, MBA, or related field.

Experience and Knowledge (Essential):

Minimum 3 years of experience implementing/supporting banking or financial solutions as a technical consultant.

Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills (mandatory).

Experience with RDBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server).

Proficiency in data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Microsoft BI stack) and reporting systems.

Good understanding of OLTP systems and transactional data handling.

Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPivot for data analysis.

Exposure to workflow configuration and integration with financial systems.

Demonstrated experience in customer-facing technical roles.

Fluency in English, written and oral.

Mandate:

Knowledge of financial applications like Tagetik (for budgeting/forecasting).

Understanding of budgeting concepts (Top-Down, Bottom-Up) and regulatory requirements.
