Finishing Carpenter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work on various projects that require precision and attention to detail. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for the final touches on construction projects, ensuring that all elements are completed to the highest standards.

Duties

• Fabricate and assemble wood structures, including cabinets, doors, and mouldings
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various carpentry tasks
• Perform joinery work to create strong and durable connections between materials
• Execute roofing tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and finishing
• Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and completing installations
• Carry out construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects
• Assist with plumbing tasks related to carpentry work when needed
• Engage in masonry work for structural support or decorative elements
• Provide electrical assistance on projects requiring basic wiring or fixture installation

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in carpentry with a focus on finish work. Familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes is essential. The following skills are highly desirable:

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to carpentry
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and practices
• Experience in roofing, plumbing, masonry, and basic electrical work is advantageous
• Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently
