Fire Alarm Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with strong knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, including wiring concepts, cable laying, installation, and device fitting. The candidate must be familiar with industrial safety standards and capable of executing work as per project scope and approved drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, terminate, and test conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out cable laying, tray/conduit installation, glanding, and dressing as per standards.
  • Install and connect field devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, MCPs, hooters, sounders, and control panels.
  • Read and interpret fire alarm drawings, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and scope of work.
  • Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing of fire alarm circuits.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other trades to avoid clashes and ensure timely completion.
  • Identify and report faults, deviations, and safety hazards on site.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate / Diploma in Electrical or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and Fire Alarm techniques.
