This is a 4-month / 32 hour per week (June, July, August and September) , internship position to provide an in-depth experience in various types of firefighter work and gain a broad range of skills. Specific work assignments include the performance of routine tasks and assisting various staff while acquiring basic knowledge and understanding of fire department functions, procedures, and requirements. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Required Education and ExperienceGraduation from high school or GED (if you have not yet graduated but will in Spring/Summer 2026 please note that in the education section of your application)--AND--Must be 18 years of age--AND-- Possession of a valid Driver’s License

This position is part-time (32 hours a week), first shift for a projected 4-month period of time. Staring Monday June 8th through October 9th, 2026. Subject to change
