Our team needs a driven Fire Protection Engineer. This crucial function entails studying, designing, and producing mechanical construction drawings using industry principles, techniques, and procedures, and maybe consulting on complex projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate and driven, emphasizing critical thinking, effectiveness, and outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design fire protection and plumbing systems (e.g., sprinkler layouts, fire pump sizing, piping, sanitary, medical gas, domestic water heating, ductwork).
• Perform system calculations, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and equipment selections.
• Develop construction documents and job-specific specifications.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and IBC.
• High proficiency in computer-aided design tools and software.

Salary Ranges: $120,000 - $180,000

Qualifications:

• Healthcare Experience is required
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Experience: 8+ years as a licensed professional engineer
• Computer Skills: Revit, Auto CAD MEP, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office Suite, Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D
• Travel: up to 20% depending on project

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current PE License
• NCEES Registration
• Licensed in at least one U.S. state
• Certified Plumbing Designer (Preferred)
• LEED, Green Globes, or other sustainability credentials (Preferred)
