Responsibilities:

  • Design and review electrical systems for diesel, electric, and jockey fire pump sets in compliance with NFPA, UL/FM, and client specifications.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, control panel layouts, cable schedules, and load calculations.
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and ensure full compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform site installation inspections, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of fire pump systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control issues and coordinate with mechanical and project teams for system integration.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance certificates.
  • Support project teams during technical meetings, client inspections, and audits.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements for oil & gas projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire pump electrical systems (design/QC/commissioning).
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 20, NFPA 70, UL/FM guidelines, and oil & gas codes.
  • Experience with PLC logic, control circuits, VFDs, and motor starters.
  • Hands-on experience with testing and commissioning of fire pump controllers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments and travel to project sites.

Experience:

  • Design electrical control systems for fire pumps: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Perform routine inspections of fire pump electrical : 3 years (Preferred)
  • Conduct detailed inspections of fire pump : 3 years (Preferred)
  • Maintain detailed records of QC inspections : 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Electrical Engineering Certificate (Required)
  • Qatar Driving License (Required)
