Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. This role is critical in providing emergency response services, including firefighting and medical assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to public safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire suppression and medical assistance.
• Administer first aid, CPR, and basic life support to individuals in need.
• Assess patients’ vital signs and provide appropriate care based on established protocols.
• Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure readiness for emergency response.
• Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain skills and knowledge in firefighting techniques and emergency medical procedures.
• Assist in community education programs regarding fire safety and emergency preparedness.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during rescue operations or when handling equipment.

Experience

• EMT experience is preferred, with a valid EMT certification.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures, basic life support techniques, and CPR certification is essential.
• Experience with commercial driving is a plus, as this role may require operating emergency vehicles.
• Mechanical knowledge related to firefighting equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of rescue operations or equipment handling. Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, teamwork abilities, and a passion for serving the community through emergency services.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
