TO QUALIFY

Qualified applicants must possess and maintain State of Florida EMT and Firefighter certifications; achieve a passing score on the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)* dated no more than one (1) year prior to the job closing date -OR- have been employed in the capacity of a sworn Firefighter/EMT for twelve (12) consecutive months within two (2) years of the date of application; possess a high school diploma or GED Equivalency; be at least 18 years of age; possess and maintain a State of Florida Class “E” Driver’s License; be a non-user of tobacco products (for at least one year); and must meet all criteria of the City's current "Selection Standards for Firefighter Positions".
