Job Purpose
Supervise, monitor, and maintain firefighting systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring they comply with safety codes, standards, and regulations. The role is responsible for overseeing installation, conducting inspections, supporting commissioning activities, and ensuring proper operation of all firefighting equipment to protect people, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise the installation, inspection, and testing of firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, suppression systems, fire alarms, etc.).

Ensure all systems comply with NFPA, FM Global, and local fire protection standards.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for firefighting equipment.

Monitor and verify the calibration and readiness of firefighting systems, tools, and equipment.

Coordinate with contractors, safety officers, and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of firefighting-related tasks.

Support in fire risk assessments and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Maintain proper documentation, logs, and reports related to system inspections, tests, and maintenance.

Assist in developing emergency response procedures and support fire drills.

Provide technical training and guidance to site technicians and operators.

Stay up to date with firefighting standards, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and safety.
Qualification & Education:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Years of Experience:
1-3 years of relevant experience in firefighting systems supervision, inspection, or maintenance.
Technical competencies:

Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, FM Global, and local fire codes.

Proficiency in inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, and suppression systems.

Understanding of fire alarm and detection systems operations.

Experience in preparing inspection checklists, test reports, and compliance documentation.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning for firefighting systems.

Ability to evaluate hazards and propose corrective measures.
