First Aider

Job Title: First Aider – Construction Site

Location: United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Reports To: Site Safety Officer / HSE Manager

Job Summary

The First Aider is responsible for providing immediate medical assistance to employees in case of injuries or health emergencies at the construction site. This role ensures quick response to incidents and proper medical support until professional medical help arrives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid treatment for injuries, cuts, burns, fractures, or other minor medical conditions on site.
• Assess the condition of injured personnel and decide whether they require hospital treatment.
• Maintain and manage first aid kits, ensuring they are fully stocked and accessible.
• Record all incidents and first aid treatments in compliance with company and UAE HSE regulations.
• Assist in the development and delivery of basic first aid and safety awareness training to site personnel.
• Coordinate with ambulance services and hospital staff during serious emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor law, safety regulations, and company HSE policies.
• Report medical and safety incidents to the Site Safety Officer or HSE Manager.

Skills & Qualifications

• Certification in First Aid and CPR (mandatory).
• Prior experience as a first aider, preferably in construction or industrial sites.
• Knowledge of basic emergency response procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and act promptly during emergencies.
• Awareness of HSE standards and UAE occupational safety regulations.

Additional Information

• The First Aider must be available on-site during working hours.
• May require participation in drills and emergency response simulations.
