Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented First Year or Junior Associate to join our small law firm specializing in Labor and Employment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to litigate in Federal Court. From day one, you will play a vital role in supporting legal research, drafting documents, and litigating. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their legal expertise while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will be working directly with our lead litigator, with all of the resources available to you to make sure you are successful. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools including LexisNexisto gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Draft clear, precise legal documents such as pleadings, and correspondence tailored to specific cases and client needs.
  • Assist attorneys with case management by organizing files, preparing discovery materials, and tracking deadlines to ensure timely progression of legal matters.
  • Support litigation efforts by preparing exhibits, taking and defending depositions, and coordinating with clients and witnesses.
  • Representing clients in Federal Court - including evidentiary hearings, Settlement Conferences, Discovery Hearings, Oral Arguments and Mediations.

Requirements

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Florida, and a member in good standing.
  • An interest in Labor and Employment Law - vindicating the rights of employees.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis is essential.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-structured legal documents that are clear and persuasive.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with attorneys, clients, and external partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
