Fit Out Engineer

Job Summary

The Fit-Out Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating interior fit-out works at project sites, ensuring that all activities are completed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site management skills, and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor daily fit-out activities including civil, architectural, MEP, joinery, and finishing works.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Resolve technical issues and site challenges promptly.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials required on site.

Quality Control

• Ensure all fit-out works comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections and snagging activities before handover.
• Monitor finishing works such as flooring, ceiling, painting, partitioning, joinery, and decorative finishes.
• Maintain quality records and inspection reports.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and monitor safe work practices.
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all permits and approvals are in place before work execution.

Planning & Reporting

• Monitor project schedules and track work progress against milestones.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Assist in project planning and resource allocation.
• Coordinate project handover documentation and close-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out projects within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of fit-out construction methodologies and finishing works.
• Knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority requirements.
• Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, residential, and office fit-out projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of MEP coordination and interior finishing details.

Preferred Requirements

• UAE Driving License (Mandatory/Preferred).
• Experience working with Dubai authorities and consultants.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
