Fit-out Project Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fit-out Project Estimator to join our construction team with 3 to 4 years experience. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, preparing detailed proposals, and supporting the successful delivery of interior fit-out projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. Duties

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for interior fit-out projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
• Collaborate closely with design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to gather accurate pricing data and negotiate terms that benefit the project while maintaining profitability.
• Develop detailed pricing strategies and budgets that incorporate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and contingency allowances.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from architectural drawings to ensure precise cost calculations.
• Support project management teams by providing cost control insights throughout the project lifecycle to prevent overruns and optimize resource allocation.
• Review construction contracts to understand scope requirements and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of bid submissions, proposals, and tender documents with clarity and professionalism.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction estimating best practices, market trends, and new materials or techniques relevant to interior fit-out projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on interior fit-out or renovation projects.
• Strong proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and document management.
• Hands-on experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, site management, contracts, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with cost control techniques and budgeting within complex construction environments.
• Previous construction site experience is a plus, providing insight into on-the-ground realities that influence estimates.
