Fit Out Project Manager

The Fit-Out Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering interior fit-out projects from initial concept through to final handover. The role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while meeting client expectations and contractual requirements. This position involves close coordination with architects, designers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams across commercial, office, retail, and hospitality fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management

• Manage fit-out projects from design development through execution and completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work schedules.
• Define project scope, deliverables, and milestones in line with client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and authority approvals.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project costs and variations to ensure financial control.
• Review and approve payments, variations, and final accounts.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Act as the main point of contact between clients and project stakeholders.
• Lead site meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and management.
• Resolve design, technical, and site-related issues effectively.

Procurement & Contracts

• Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and quality standards.

Site Management & Execution

• Oversee site activities to ensure work is executed safely and according to approved drawings and schedules.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality, health, and safety standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure timely project handover and close-out documentation.

Quality, Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE regulations, and local authority requirements.
• Implement quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of experience managing fit-out or interior construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, office, retail, and hospitality fit-out works.
• Proven experience in project planning, cost control, and site management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings.
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
