Overview:
The Lifeguard is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the swimming pool, bath houses, pump house and aerobic water sports program. The Lifeguard shall also support sports leagues, special events and other supporting activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement. The Lifeguard reports to the Fitness Center Manager and Lead Lifeguard
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of the pool and restrooms while providing continual lifeguard duties as specified in the Performance Work Statement.

Responsible for upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team, and providing a clean, friendly and well-maintained pool/fitness center.

Responsible for enforcing basic pool and facility regulations and safety procedures.

Performs water rescue, first, CPR procedures and calls for medical assistance when needed.

Provides the highest quality customer service by remaining tactful and courteous to all customers.

Conducts water aerobics activities, sports leagues, special events, incentive programs and other supporting activities.

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities, pool, deck and lounge areas.

Shall maintain pool cleanliness, perform chlorine and pH level checks and notify lead if levels are not in accordance with established standards.

Shall conduct personal training and group training classes as certified.

Washes, dries and provides clean jerseys and towels to authorized fitness guests.

Responsible for maintaining certifications and completing all necessary training and continuing education requirements.

Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of Fitness Center Services as specified in the Performance Work Statement.

Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing clean, friendly and well-maintained fitness centers.

Facilitate sports leagues, special events, incentive programs and other supporting activities.

Responsible for the maintenance and condition of the equipment in the facility. Shall maintain procedures for tracking and issuing fitness/sports equipment to guests.

Provides clean jerseys and towels to authorized fitness guests.

Completes weekly inspections of fitness and sports equipment, fields and facilities and documents discrepancies and forwards to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

Ensure bottled water is stocked in refrigeration units and clean weekly.

Pick up trash and other items left behind by guests as needed.

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.

Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications
-
One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Must have American Red Cross CPR/AED and first aid certification or equivalent or be able to obtain this certification within 60 days of hire.

Group Instructor certification in Water Aerobics preferred or be able to obtain this certification within 60 days of hire.

Must have normal hearing and a minimum of 20/40 uncorrected vision in each eye and shall be corrected to 20/20.

Must have a valid Passport

Must be approved by host country vetting process.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
-
Must be able to pass employment requirements that include medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.

Experience
-
Minimum of one year of lifeguard experience with advanced skills in swimming and water rescue techniques, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation with the capability to rescue swimmers in distress.

Working Environment

Work will be primarily outdoors but may provide support to the fitness center which is located indoors. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
