Fleet Controller

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to oversee the daily operations of our vehicle fleet. The role involves managing driver coordination, tracking, scheduling, and ensuring that all vehicles are serviced, repaired, and cleaned on time.

Fleet Coordination & Scheduling

• Manage daily vehicle schedules, ensuring timely dispatch, delivery, and collection.
• Assign vehicles to drivers, adjusting schedules as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Track fleet location and status through GPS/fleet management systems.

Driver Management

• Coordinate and monitor drivers’ duties and routes.
• Ensure drivers follow company policies, road safety standards, and delivery/dispatch timelines.
• Address driver issues, performance concerns, and provide clear instructions.

Fleet Maintenance & Readiness

• Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced, repaired, and cleaned on time.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and minimize vehicle downtime.
• Conduct inspections before dispatch to confirm safety, cleanliness, and readiness.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of fleet usage, repairs, inspections, and driver logs.
• Prepare and update checklists for dispatch, maintenance, and inspections.
• Generate regular fleet status reports for management review.

Communication & Follow-Up

• Handle all fleet-related emails, calls, and client or internal requests promptly.
• Coordinate with workshops, cleaning staff, and service providers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow up on outstanding issues to prevent delays or disruptions in operations.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent (Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in fleet coordination, transportation, or logistics operations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with fleet management/tracking software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
