Fleet Coordinator
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Overview:
Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Fleet Coordinator to oversee our transportation operations and ensure our trucks, drivers, and donation pickups run smoothly every day.
This leadership role keeps our logistics moving, supports our ReSale Stores, strengthens donor relationships, and helps our mission thrive. The ideal candidate brings a balance of collaboration, ownership, respect, and energy — our CORE values — to daily operations.
You’ll manage routes, support drivers, coordinate fleet maintenance, and ensure that every donation experience reflects the professionalism and heart of Habitat for Humanity.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Customer Service:

Answer incoming calls with a clear, professional, friendly voice while providing exceptional customer service to donors and customers.

Schedule and optimize daily routes for two trucks to ensure timely, efficient pick-ups and deliveries.

Organize, coordinate, and track all pick-ups and deliveries with accurate documentation.

Communicate clearly with donors, homeowners, store staff, and internal departments to support smooth, consistent operations.
Fleet & Logistics Management:

Oversee all fleet maintenance including routine service, inspections, and repairs.

Maintain accurate logs, receipts, fuel records, and maintenance documentation.

Ensure trucks and equipment meet safety standards and are ready for daily operations.
Leadership & Team Support:'

Manage and motivate a team of drivers, driver assistants, and call center assistants.

Provide daily leadership, coaching, constructive feedback, and support.

Conduct or assist with safety meetings and training.

Planning & Problem Solving:

Plan daily and weekly routes for donation pick-ups, ReSale Store transfers, dump runs, clean-outs, and store-to-store movement of merchandise.

Use strong decision-making skills to adjust schedules and solve issues as they arise.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and donor experience.
Qualifications:

Knowledge of the Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Englewood areas (preferred).

Valid Florida Driver’s License with the ability to safely drive Habitat trucks as needed.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and lead a team effectively.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Reliable, goal-oriented, and committed to professional excellence.

Experience in logistics, routing, or fleet operations (preferred but not required).

Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
