The Fleet & Facility Manager plays a critical role in supporting Sunline’s operations by ensuring our trucks, trailers, equipment, and facilities are safe, reliable, and efficient. This role combines leadership, organization, and technical knowledge to minimize downtime, control costs, and uphold Sunline’s core values: Passionate About People, Growth & Progression, Confident in our Craft, and Exemplify Integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Fleet & Facility department, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability.
 - Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
 - Coordinate with internal mechanics and external vendors for repairs beyond in-house capabilities.
 - Manage shop and yard organization, including daily inventory of equipment, tools, and parts (6S standards).
 - Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and costs using fleet management software.
 - Support operations by ensuring vehicles and equipment are compliant, safe, and available when needed.
 - Maintain facilities to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
 - Provide timely and professional communication with operations teams, vendors, and leadership.
 - Develop and manage departmental budget, reporting on fleet and facility performance metrics
 
Leadership & Culture- Model Sunline’s mission, purpose, and values in all decisions and interactions.
 - Create a positive, safe working environment that supports growth and progression.
 - Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable (LMA).
 - Coach and support the Shop Manager and mechanics to build skills and efficiency.
 - Collaborate across departments (Admin, Accounting, Operations) to ensure smooth workflow.
 
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
 - 5+ years of fleet and/or facility management; landscaping or construction industry experience preferred.
 - Mechanical knowledge of trucks, trailers, small engines, and heavy equipment.
 - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
 - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
 - Proficiency with MS Office and fleet management software.
 - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
