Role Objectives:

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day tracking and coordination of the mid-mile fleet to ensure on-time truck movements across all Breadfast centers. The role focuses on maintaining visibility, punctuality, and efficiency of fleet operations, while ensuring full compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Fleet Specialist in executing daily mid-mile operations by tracking and following up on all active trips through the fleet management system.
  • Monitor ground fleet movement to ensure on-time arrivals and departures between warehouses and hubs, reporting any delays, incidents, or route deviations immediately.
  • Coordinate directly with drivers and dispatchers to communicate instructions, resolve operational issues, and maintain continuous visibility over fleet activities.
  • Follow up on scheduled maintenance, fuel refills, and vehicle readiness, ensuring quick reporting and escalation of breakdowns or technical issues.
  • Record and update all trip, mileage, and performance data accurately, sharing daily summaries and observations with the Senior Fleet Specialist.
  • Support compliance with company transport standards and safety procedures by ensuring that vehicles and drivers meet operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to align on loading, dispatch, and delivery priorities, contributing to smooth and cost-efficient ground fleet execution.


Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in fleet, logistics, or transportation operations — experience in mid-mile operations is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of fleet management systems and GPS tracking tools; training will be provided as needed.
  • Good understanding of transportation flow, schedules, and coordination between sites.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Team player with good communication skills to collaborate with drivers and operations teams.
  • Organized and adaptable, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude toward finding quick and practical solutions.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other office tools for daily tracking and reporting.
