Logistics Driver Job in Dubai Overview

Responsibilities

The new hire will perform the logistics driver's role of which the core responsibility is that no matter what the circumstances are the goods must always be moved safely and punctually. The tasks would consist of vehicle condition checks, deciding the best route, following the strictest of traffic regulations, and keeping accurate records of the goods delivered. The maintaining of proper communications with dispatch and logistics teams to timely and effectively coordinate delivery operations will be expected from the drivers.

Experience & Expertise

The applicants must be in possession of a valid UAE Driving License (No. 3) and a minimum of two years driving experience in the UAE. Previous experience in F & B delivery is a must that proves one's knowledge of such goods as fragile, temperature-sensitive, etc. A definite advantage would be a good understanding of the road networks and traffic regulations in Dubai.

Work Environment

The nature of the job dictates that the driver has to be very disciplined and professional because the environment is very dynamic and fast moving and thus also he has to be punctual. The drivers might be required to work on rotating shifts that can include weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the operation.
