JOB TITLE : Flight Operations Manager

1. JOB NATURE & SCOPE

The Flight Operations Manager reports directly to the GM and is responsible for leading and managing overall airport operations at Fujairah International Airport. This includes direct oversight of Airside Operations, Terminal Operations, and the Operations Control Center (OCC). The role ensures efficient daily operation, compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, and high-quality passenger and aircraft service.

The position requires excellent leadership and coordination across multiple teams—supervisors, duty officers, OCC, ramp, terminal, and ground handling—ensuring all units perform in harmony to deliver safe and efficient airport operations. The role also involves managing emergency responses and liaising with government agencies, airlines, and service providers.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

2.1. Oversee and manage daily airside activities including wildlife management, inspections, and safety compliance.

2.2. Supervise ramp operations including aircraft pushback, ground support equipment (GSE) handling, and marshalling.

2.3. Ensure all airside operations are compliant with safety, security, and operational standards.

2.4. Coordinate with ground handling agencies, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders for timely turnaround of aircraft.

2.5. Respond to operational incidents or disruptions and initiate corrective actions.

2.6. Maintain operational readiness of airside areas and ensure all equipment and personnel are compliant and properly trained.

2.7. Lead and manage a team of airside duty officers and ramp personnel to ensure smooth execution of duties.

2.8. Monitor performance metrics and participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

2.9. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures related to wildlife hazards and equipment movement.

2.10. Ensure documentation, reports, and logbooks are accurately maintained and submitted in a timely manner.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE+

The job holder will require, as a minimum:

3.1. Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

3.2. Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in airport terminal operations, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.

3.3. Strong knowledge of ICAO, GCAA, and IATA regulations related to airside and ramp operations.

3.4. Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

4. POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
