Your 14-Month Journey to Leadership:

• Phase 1: The Big Picture (3 Weeks): Orientation across all DP World functions. Understand how our port, logistics parks, and marine services create an integrated global supply chain.
• Phase 2: Master Your Craft (8 Months): Intensive theoretical and practical training at our state-of-the-art training centre. Master the systems, safety protocols, and leadership skills you need to excel.
• Phase 3: Lead on the Ground (3 Months): Supervised on-the-job training. Put your knowledge to the test, shadowing experienced leaders and taking on real responsibilities.

Your Role After Training: Principal Responsibilities

As a Port Operations Supervisor, you will be the orchestrator of movement . Your domain is the entire terminal, and your tools are leadership and technology.

Inside the Control Room (The Command Center):

• Be the Brain: Strategically plan and deploy manpower in the field using real-time data.
• Optimize Performance: Monitor crane and vessel performance through advanced systems, solve problems instantly, and ensure optimal resource use.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Be the guardian of safety, ensuring all teams are equipped with the correct PPE and procedures are followed to the letter.

Outside on the Terminal (The Front Line):

• Be the Leader: Conduct Toolbox Talks, lead your team, and be the point of contact for vessel chiefs and superintendents.
• Command the Vessel: Physically inspect vessels, oversee berthing and departure, and ensure all equipment is secured and ready.
• Solve Real-Time Puzzles: Manage the intricate logistics of loading and unloading, from coordinating special gear for break-bulk cargo to obtaining the final lashing certificate.
