Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher for Childcare to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile classroom support, stepping into various teaching environments to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for young learners. Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible classroom support across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers.
  • Assist lead teachers with facilitating pre prepped lesson plans and curriculum that align with educational standards and promote literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional growth.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and physical development, including teaching physical education including ample outdoor play.
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all children.
  • Help with classroom organization and cleaning tasks, including setting up learning stations, preparing materials for lessons, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with educators on individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services to support their unique needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Assist in administering assessments or standardized testing when necessary to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development by staying informed about childhood development trends and best practices in childcare and early childhood education.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, or teaching physical education is advantageous. Musical & artistic talents welcome.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs and NAEYC standards.
  • Previous daycare or preschool experience enhances understanding of child welfare standards and classroom dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm. hours vary between 7:30am to 5:00 pm. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
