The Floor Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the hospital floor, coordinating between departments, supporting nursing and administrative staff, and ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient services. The role involves maintaining order, managing patient flow, handling queries, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Management

  • Supervise and monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Ensure that patients receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and support staff for patient care needs.
  • Handle patient complaints and escalate unresolved issues to the Administration.

2. Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the link between departments (nursing, housekeeping, billing, pharmacy, etc.).
  • Ensure that all patient-related requests and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Communicate important updates, schedules, and information to staff on the floor.

3. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain floor records, occupancy reports, and daily activity logs.
  • Ensure all documentation (admission, discharge, consent forms) is properly completed.
  • Support billing and discharge clearance processes.

4. Quality & Safety

  • Ensure that infection control, cleanliness, and safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor housekeeping and maintenance activities on the floor.
  • Ensure that patient rooms, equipment, and supplies are in order.

5. Staff Supervision & Support

  • Coordinate duty rosters, shift changes, and attendance of floor staff.
  • Support nurses and ward boys in managing workload efficiently.
  • Conduct briefings and ensure staff follow hospital policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate (preferably in Hospital Administration, Nursing, or a related field).
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hospital floor coordination or administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, hospital software).

Working Hours:

  • Rotational shifts (morning/evening/night) as per hospital requirements.

Salary Range:

  • As per hospital norms and candidate experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹20,493.90 per month
