Floral Designer

Job Summary:

We are a well established flower shop located in the heart of Downtown Downers Grove. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Floral Designer to join our team. As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and unique arrangements for special occasions and everyday decor. Our team values a positive, can-do attitude. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for flowers, and enjoy working in a team environment. If you have experience in gardening, lawn care, and retail sales, we want to hear from you.

Duties:

- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, providing a welcoming environment for customers.

- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions and events.
- Source and purchase flowers and materials from local suppliers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and making recommendations.
- Operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Sell flowers, arrangements, and other related products to customers.
- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to manage inventory/process sales/route etc.
- Manage inventory and restock materials as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with seasonal trends and product availability.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and attractive store display.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience:

- 2-5 years experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
